Hey guys! So, if you didn't know already, I may or may not have a ~~huge~~ small addiction to mesh heads. I can't help it, they're so pretty. The newest craze on the market is the Genus Project heads, and I tried SO hard to not pick it up....but the baby face variant was just too cute... It's my duty as a blogger to have it....right?? At a cool $L5.5K, the price is nothing to shake a stick at, but it comes with pretty much everything you need, so it runs about half of the price of Catwa (when buying a new catwa head and the animation HUD). You do need to purchase an omega relay, which seems really silly to me for the price of the head itself, but at $L99, it's not too bad. All layers on the Genus head are omega-compatible, so all of your favourite omega skins and makeups should work, but with any omega heads, may not fit the shape perfectly. I grabbed the Saturday Sale (out early!) hair from Astrology (and checked out their moving sale!!!), the bodysuit lingerie from Tentacio, and just went to town playing with my new face.

I grabbed 6 omega-friendly skins that I thought looked lovely on the head, I tried to be varied, but I do tend to go for skins that have a pretty similar "look" to them, and tend to stick to pale tones in general.

I feel like I should probably write more but I'm currently quite sick, and this was fun but exhausting. Excuse me while I take a nap <3

Hey guys! I noticed that Izzie's has chosen to include BakeOn mesh layers with her new Summer blush set, which is incredibly exciting to me because I feel like BakeOn mesh is absolutely incredible and will totally change our Second Lives. BakeOn mesh, in a nutshell, allows us to use our system layers...on our mesh parts. No, I did not make a typo. You read that correctly. In my photos, I am wearing all system layer items on my Maitreya body, and my LAQ mesh head. BakeOn also allows up to 64 layers of stuff to be worn at the same time...with no/minimal issues. Like tattoos? wear 30 of them! (or don't, because that would look silly). I rushed over to the official SL viewer wiki page to snag a download and check it out (and by rushed, I mean it took all day because my internet was down), I also got the FREE bake on mesh kit from the Omega inworld shop, and then I settled down in a spot on my home sim (since the project is still in beta, you look like a hot mess to anyone else on the grid right now!) and tried on my old system skins and makeup, and just for fun, I pulled out some gorgeous system layer lingerie too!

I chose several of my system skins that fit best on my LAQ Bree head, but honestly, it was tough to narrow it down, because so many I had fit absolutely beautifully. When I was taking photos, I thought I had chosen some variety in my tones...guess I was kinda wrong!

Makeup layers absolutely perfectly. I didn't get any flickering, or conflicting layers, nothing knocked out another layer, etc! One thing to remember is that you do have to LAYER things, in the order you want them. for example: wear blush, then shadow so the shadow sits on top of the blush layer. Same thing with clothing and tattoos. Wear your tattoos and then the clothing!

So, the Love trinkets hunt, put on by the "I Do wedding network" started just a few days ago, and runs till St. Valentines! Each item is a sweet trinket of love, and can be transferred to that special someone, this way, you can give them a gift, even if you don't have a huge budget... After all, gifts are all about the sentiment, not the price tag! ♥

Aerica's Boutique has out this gorgeous lingerie set as their hunt gift! This set includes Lolas tangos appliers and is absolutely irresistible! This would make a fantabulous present for that special lady in your life!

Behind me to the left we have a lovely entry way table by Storaxtree (NOT a hunt gift!), it actually has a cactus on it, but you can't see it in the photo... on the table, we have the gorgeous music box from Chapel of dreams, as well as the photo frame and bouquet of roses from HPC! UNDER the table is a super cute kitty cat on a guitar, which is the hunt prize from Wedding-2-go!

From Easterling, we have this cute little pink and black set. This set also comes with tangos appliers, and is just perfect for your sweetheart... assuming your sweetheart is a lady... or a guy who's into that sort of thing... anyway, moving on!

Behind me and to the RIGHT is the hunt prize from Aster's builts! The lovely silver tray poufs hearts, gives out champagne and chocolate, and is the perfect addition to your Valentines setup!

I dragged my honey away from whatever he was engrossed with to show off two of the his and hers type gifts. So sweet!

So, yesterday my blog officially turned one year old! It's been an interesting year with a few ups, and a lot of downs... I've gained quite a few amazing sponsors, been turned down by more than I care to admit, lost a few friends, gained a few new ones, passed the 5K views hurdle, and am quickly approaching 10K. As I reflect on this past year, I just want to say thank you to all of my readers, all of my sponsors, all of the bloggers who have given me tips, and helped me get better, the friends that hold me up when I just don't feel like I can do anything anymore, and my partner who spell checks my blog, laughs at my bad jokes... which there are many of, cheers me up when I'm down, which is often, and stands beside me... no matter what silly decision I make... Thanks to all of you, I've become a damn good blogger, and I plan to continue to get even better... So, Happy birthday, Skyclad Fashionista... and many many more!

om nom nom... my neko mochi mouth nom is the "freshly baked" mini hunt prize from Amai! My absolutely freaking amazing horn is one of Panik's project limited items! I LOVE this pastel rainbow version! My lovely pink lippie is another shade in the freebie pack from Tilly! I am absolutely LOVING these lipsticks!

My nails are another "freshly baked" mini hunt gift, but this time from Kawaii, the store hosting the hunt! The collar I have on here is from Pekka. I always make a note to buy their collars when they come out with new ones... I personally believe they're the best looking SIMPLE collars on the market! These super cute panties are one more hunt item in the "freshly baked" mini hunt! These come to you from a fairly new lingerie shop called "Aerica's Lingerie". I think they're just the cutest!

AND they say tasty on the butt!! How cute is that?! They not only come on both pant and pantie layers, but they also include appliers for your azz!

What's a unicorn princess without her hooves? I guess just an oddball with a horn? My pony boots are from KCreations, and were a gift from my partner! each and every bit of these is texture change, and modifiable via edit menu, for total customizablilty! Is that a word? no? oh... well... it is now!

This simple question rings familiar in the minds of every pokemon fan... the professor differs depending on which game you play, but the question is always the same... but what if he isn't the only one asking that question? What if such a simple question doesn't have a simple answer? What if you're neither? What if you're both?

Well, in those situations.... you might be a trap.

I love how adorable my "Kumaface" chocolate bear is! in fact, love all of the sweets that Amai has out right now! My "Stiletto" manicure from Hello Dave is actually intended to be worn with the pointed slink nail option, but I think it looks great with the short nails as well! Did I mention it's free on their marketplace store?

Are you loving my booty-bearing skirt? It's on sale RIGHT NOW at Geek for just $L40! The shop owner had some unfortunate things happen, and is selling a few creations one last time before retiring them completely and turning them into templates...

In real life, as well as in SL, I am a huge fan of plastic shoes... I'm not sure what it is about them, I just love them! When I saw these sandals by Hucci, I absolutely HAD to have them! I'm not 100% sure if they're still available, as they were a previous Collabor88 event item, but it is always worth checking out!
