The Skyclad Fashionista

Phwew, that title is a mouthfull, huh?! There's a new gacha event in town called "Catcha!". The event is full of a bunch of really cool designers, each with a gacha (or several!) that you can play, and try to collect the sets! I picked up some of the pieces from Deadly Nightshade's machine, and made a really interesting elven-neko look. There's tons more to see at the event, so be sure to check it out!
(Note: I meant to post this about 2 weeks ago, but for some reason my Maitreya body had a glitch and wouldn't load pieces! I didn't want to not use the lingerie  I had picked up, which was unfortunately Maitreya-only, so I waited. Glad I did, because I found an even more beautiful hair to use!)

November marks the final round of the quarterly kinky subscription box "The Bound Box". While the ending is unfortunate, they're definitely going out with a bang. Hey all! Just popping in quick to show off a few gifties I found! The first is a Group Gift hair from Truth, an extra prezzie in celebration of reaching 40K members in the VIP group! The hair comes in the full fatpack of colours, and comes with a style HUD to change the fringe, front bits, and more. I'm wearing a creamy unltra-pale blonde shade, but there's more colours in the pack than you can shake a stick at! Next is a really pretty tank top from Blueberry! This top is out currently at Les Fest, and is free for everyone to pick up. It comes in "full wet", "half wet' and "dry" variants, although, their "wet clothing" just looks partially worn to me, instead of actually looking wet, but that's just me. Each variant of the top has a bra underneath that has a toggle on/off, and a huge colour HUD! Finally, I already mentioned the new Stix group gift in my last post, but I cannot get over how gorgeous it is! It's nestled among all of Stix' other group gifts from the past few years, which are all absolutely lovely.

Hey guys! I just wanted to do a quickie post to show off Sn@tch's latest fishing outfit! The "In the Moulin Rouge" outfit comes in 21 pieces that you will have to fish for (or trade with friends!), and features 5 mesh corsets, heels (not shown) a bodysuit, gloves (not shown), stockings, a gorgeous choker, earrings, and makeup (eye makeup shown, lipstick not shown). I'm wearing it with a head chain, skin, and lippie from Lumae (added brows by Alaskametro!), shoes by Empire, Nails from Dark Passions at Ostara's Altar (which runs until the 16th of April) - which also happen to be a $L5 HUNT item and more! $L5? for the FATPACK? Why, yes, please!

So, if you've powered through my last post, you know that today I'm celebrating life! This post is dedicated to a few of my favourite things here in the digital world!

Firstly, I can never decide on a favourite skin maker, so I'll definitely be wearing different ones throughout the week. My top 3 (in no specific order) are: Lumae, Glam affair, and Pink fuel. I'm wearing Pink fuel's Doll v2 skin today on my Logo mesh head.

For eyes it's always a flat out tie between Ikon, and S0ng, but I'm wearing Ikon eyes right now. When it comes to jewelry, I don't wear a ton, and my collection is all over the place, with a few pieces from tons of stores, but as far as piercings go, Hebenon Vial is definitely my fave, although I'm not wearing any right now, but you'll see plenty of their piercings later in the week!

Hair? Doe (formerly ploom). Hands down. Every time. I have never found a hair store that I love more, or that fits my personal style better, than Doe. Their hairs are definitely some of the best on the grid, and the colour choices are amazing!


My top 3 favourite clothing stores (again in no specific order) are definitely: Sn@tch, Blueberry, and Adams, with a special shout-out to DV8, which will always hold a special place in my heart.


And last but definitely not least, my favourite shoe store is Reign! I only discovered Reign fairly recently, but since then I've purchased so darn many shoes from there that my inventory has skyrocketed! They do platforms, boots, flats, heels, pumps, sneakers, you name it, and with sizes for belleza, maitreya, slink, sometimes unrigged, and sometimes even for the TD body you really can't go wrong!


Finally, I saw someone recently do this on their blog, just a simple full-body shot on a simple background, with a list of store names along one edge. I thought it was a fantastic idea, so I snagged it!

Normally Friday is my favourite day of the week... but today has just been terrible so far. I woke up this morning to a call from a friend who lives in the house behind mine that someone had thrown a rock through my back windshield... after several hours of dealing with police, insurance, etc, I have time to kill waiting on the glass people to get here, so I thought hey what better way to try and cheer myself up than with a little retail therapy? Today also marks the 10th anniversary of my great-grandmother's passing... she was like a second mother to me, so today has been hard all around... However, shopping was one of her absolute favourite activities, so I feel like I'm honouring her memory well. 

But anyway, onto the fashion. 

The FLF list is chock full of awesome stuff that will surely make your day brighter. I've snagged FLF items from NYU, Fri.day, and Half-deer to put this cute outfit together. 

 

The Striped belted dress in autumn from NYU comes in all 5 standard sizes, although they are labeled funny. The dress works sort of with some mesh bodies, but is a no-go with others. I managed to get it to fit well enough for photos on Maitreya body, but it just would not work with my Belleza... but the dress itself certainly is lovely!

I've paired the dress with these great boots and socks from Fri.day! The Ingrid boots come in Ash, and 3 pairs of socks in wintery tones are included in the pack as well (i'm wearing 'oatmeal'). The boots themselves are unrigged, as well as the sock tops, and should fit just about everybody, but the socks in the pack are APPLIER ONLY! The pack does not include system layers unfortunately.


Finally, I've topped my outfit off with deals, and specials! So, the Body Modification Expo is just about over, and that means that the exclusive items that can be found there will be GONE in just a few days! I regret that I didn't get there sooner, but I am very glad I managed to snag a few of my favourite exclusives. Loud Mouth's exclusive mouth, Giselle, is small and adorable, and their new tongues have the ability to take sexy to a new level, Hebenon Vial has absolutely gorgeous mesh piercings, The Forge has sexy nipple shields, Aitui's heart plug gauged ears were definitely a must-have for me, and Goth1c0 REALLY brought their A-game with the pierced wings I'm wearing. Body Mod Expo is definitely not an event you want to pass up. Finally, I topped off my gorgeous barely-there ensemble with Doe's brand new hair "Deer me!" Which is currently available at We <3 RP. This hair comes in all of the usual packs, each side can be changed independently, AND there's even a HUD for the antlers/horns! This hair has a fantastically wild feel to it that I adore!

So, I'm going to try something a smidge different than I normally do. I've heard through the grapevine that stores prefer blogs that feature posts that aren't particularly... wordy... SO, for the next couple of posts, I plan to write a short blurb about my outfit, the events/stores it comes from, credits at the end, and then let the photos speak for themselves! ALSO, because I'm super slow, I just realized that I could use my flickr photos directly on blogger, like I was doing on wordpress, so I'll be doing that as well!

Go fish! Sn@tch's newest fishing outfit, Shake it off, consists of 22 pieces, including 5 pairs of system layer pants with omega and slink appliers, 5 tank tops, boots, jewelry, makeup, and more.
