So, today we here in the USA took a great big step in the right direction for marriage equality. Today, our Supreme Court ruled in FAVOR of equality and overturned both prop 8 and DOMA. While this isn't the end of the battle over marriage equality, it is the first step on the road to winning that war!

In celebration of this awesome event, my partner and I got together, I put on as much awesome rainbow as I could find, and we decided to be adorable. While my partner and I are not in a same-sex relationship, here or in SL, we both wholeheartedly support LGBT rights, and to show our support, he decided to be a SHE for a while!

This pose is actually a hunt gift from Atooly! I was so excited to find it! My boots were a limited edition item from EPIC! I hope they're still around to grab!

Fluffy's necklace is actually a freebie on the marketplace from Elysium, mine is a group gift from my very own shop! both are 100% high quality mesh and totally filled with love.

Okay so now that I am back from taking care of my partner, and myself (although the legal bit of that battle isn't over yet...ugh, doctors AND lawyers? I'd rather have a root canal!), I needed something fun to do... so a friend of mine told me about the arcade gatcha event that's going on right now, and I just had to check it out... Now, I LOVE a good sale, but I really have the worst luck, and I hate taking chances... SO the arcade yard sales are the thing for me!!

Just in case you're not sure what I'm talking about, an arcade yard sale, or gatcha yard sale, is where people get together and sell off the extra items they got from the gatcha machines at the arcade event. Sometimes you can get a GREAT deal and find items for even less than the gatcha price, but more often than not the items are at the price for a play at the gatcha, or more if the item is a rare one.

Thankfully, all of the items I wanted from the event were commons, and I managed to get everything I wanted, mostly for the gatcha price, but a few for less.

So, when I saw that +Half-Deer+ were offering unicorn horns and tails in their gatchas, I just HAD to have some... there were no two ways about it...

I ended up getting the Rainbow sherbet, Berry Lemon, and cupcake in the horns... still looking for the "bad apple" ones!, and the Lotus, poisonberry, and lavender tails. My partner was feeding my awful need for these, and ended up buying me 2 out of the three tails, and a pair of the horns without me asking, or even knowing till he sent them to me! He's just awesome like that :3

Along with all of the excitement of the yard sale searching, I also found out that it was Iki Ikiri of Violent Seduction's rezday! To celebrate, she lowered the price of her sailor tops and bloomers to just $L10 a piece!! I ended up buying 6 tops (a black and white version of 3 different colours) and 3 pairs of bloomers that matched!

Inworld and away from my keyboard, I collect plushies of all shapes and sizes, and SilentSparrow is one of my favourite places to get them! The adorkable rainbow unicorn that I'm snuggling above is a previous $L50 fridays item, as well as the rainbow dragon below...

However, they also had CORGIS at the arcade gatcha event!! I squee-ed so hard when I saw them that my partner thought I was broken! I managed to find my favourite one, waffles, in the flopped position, but am still looking for Flopsie for my partner. These corgis are seriously so freaking adorable that it's just absolutely unbearable.

Okay so, I am an animal lover. I love all animals big and small, scaly and furry, even the ones most girls don't like... Except birds... birds scare the shit out of me... (what kind of person likes spiders and snakes, but is afraid of birds?!) A friend of mine handed me a note card the other day that absolutely broke my heart. Voshie, the owner of La Petite Morte is having some kitty troubles. Alli, (which is actually my name away from SL, but mine is spelled Allie) her lovely little kitty is very very sick. Now, instead of just asking for handouts, Voshie put out a skin and a kitty face tattoo as a special edition to help cover the vet bills for Alli. I popped over to the shop with every intention of buying both whether I liked them or not, because I always try to help when I can, but had no idea how much I was going to LOVE both the skin and tattoo them when I got home!

I loved them so much that I put together TWO outfits to go with!

I actually went back to La Petite Morte to see if there was an update on Alli kitty and found out that other designers have added items to the area as well! All of these items are inexpensive, and send 100% of the profit straight to Voshie and her kitty cat.

So, in the digital world of Second Life, changing oneself is as easy as simply clicking a mouse... Away from our keyboards we may be stuck in a body that maybe we don't feel suits us... maybe we only feel this way sometimes, or maybe this feeling is with us all the time, but in the digital world... we can be anything we want.

Some days, I choose to be a fox, some days a human, some days female, and some days male. This is one of the many wonderful freedoms we have in our digital world...one of the things that makes this world so... fantastic.

Sorry for waxing personal, I had something personal to say :) Now on to the fashion...

Most of the pieces seen in the photos below can be found in the Men Only hunt that is going on right now. The theme is rock and roll, and there is definitely something in it for everyone. The only thing the hunt really lacked was pants! There were a few pairs here and there, but nothing really multi-purpose, so after scouring the marketplace, I FINALLY found a great pair of skinny jeans that not only fit well, but also went with everything, while making my ass look nice!

Here's the "Rock my life" necklace from Etham, the "Music Josh shirt" from M3 and the "Fall out boy kicks" which are from one of my favourite shops, Razorblade Jacket. My awesome jeans were only $L50 on the marketplace. All of the men's clothing from Quade Blackheart's store Sugar Flare are priced at $L50, which makes them really affordable, and are so well done that I will more than likely end up owning a good chunk of his men's collection...

I love the "spike bracelet and hand collar" which is a prize from Hysteria Creations. It goes really well with the "Rebel Necklace" from Fusion, and the "Talking Metal" polo from American Bazaar

I love how simple the "Insane Tee" from UnderDogs... It goes with absolutely everything. The simplicity of this shirt really makes the headphones (which are called Listen to the sound) from Never Ever and the "Music is my religion rosary" stand out.

I love v-neck tees, and this one called "bleak" from RnR is just awesome! It comes in three colours in the hunt!

The shirt I'm wearing here is fron Fe Style, and it actually reminded me a lot of a shirt my rl partner has, so naturally I had to show it off.

The skeleton tank I'm wearing here comes in black and white versions, and is the gift from BeUp!

The mesh vest and shirt from Ducknipple is a little less casual than the other shirts i've shown so far, but could be dressed up or down in a multitude of ways

Just in case it's a bit chilly out, you should grab the "Pigro leather jacket" from Rispetto designs. You could definitely layer this over a tee, something less casual, or wear it alone like I am, and show off those sexy abs.

Speaking of sexy abs... The "Skinny rock pants" from hysteria creations are so hot that you won't even want to bother putting a shirt on.

You know what? Life is short, so dance in the rain in your underwear! Grab these rigged mesh boxers, which are also from Hysteria Creations, and you will have the perfect excuse to do just that.
