The Skyclad Fashionista

Eclectic fashion from all over the grid!

Hey guys! So, it's the last weekend before Thanksgiving, which is a huge deal in my family, and this year it's an extra big deal because, for the first time, I'm going to be the one cooking for my loved ones, so I'm taking this weekend and trying to de-stress as much as possible, spend quiet time by myself, and well, just be lazy! What better way to accomplish this than spending time in some cute jammies, in bed, with an adorable little puppy?!

So, first things first, I'd like to apologize for showing you these shoes because they're actually not available anymore. These were exclusively for 21Shoe from Lassitude and Ennui, however, I am absolutely in LOVE with them, so I could not resist showing them off! These shoes themselves ARE available in other colours, but the pink and white combo is a thing of the past.

Next, I'd like to introduce you to Mimi! Mimi is an adorable french bulldog puppy from Oopsie! These are gatcha items, so if you find you're not fond of the colour you pull, you can always trade with your friends! I think the one I got is my favourite!

and now, my lovely readers, it's time for Mimi and I to settle down, chill out, and enjoy what's left of our weekend in some cute PJ's from Luxuria!

Okay so, apparently everybody is doing this bare face challenge..... thing.... and there have been some interesting results... so I thought I'd give it a shot... this is just kinda a quickie post while I'm working on other things, to show off my cute little #bareface...

Here's Skyler without makeup, without lashes, without photoshop, and with a neutral windlight (Nam's optimal skin and prim, which is my favourite). Cute, right? I think so! These photos have not been edited in any way, aside from adding my sig at the bottom.

Hey guys! So 21 shoe is JUST around the corner, are you excited? I am! What's 21 shoe? 21 Shoe is a sales event that features exclusive shoes from a selection of great designers from all over SL, but the catch is that it ONLY takes place for one single day... the 21st of each month, to be exact. I happen to have procured a few special previews for you, so you can get a jump on making a wishlist!

First we have Zanzabar Creationz. Their offerings for this event are the Aelia flats (Left) and Aelianna flats (Right). These are for the Slink FLAT feet, and each pair is HUD controlled, Aelia has a choice of 3 metals (gold, brass/copper/ and silver shown) and Aelianna has a choice between 4 accent colours, and 3 metals. I'm wearing black on the accent colour, and copper/brass on the chains. On each HUD, I've circled the choice in red!

Next, House of Rain has out 2 different pairs of their Morphine Queen heels for this event. These new heels are for the Slink MID feet, and they match their brand new jewelry set of the same name, and would be absolutely fabulous to complete your collection! I'm wearing them above on the right in Gold/Cranberry, and on the left in Silver/Gunmetal (my fave!)

We have LVLE up next, and this is their very first round of 21 Shoe! Their exclusive products for this round are 2 colours of their cat bow heels, which the owner says are her favourite shoes that she's made so far. I absolutely love these and can definitely see why the owner thinks so highly of them!

and next on the list is Sax Shepherd designs! They have 2 different pairs of shoes for this round, button mule heels in Houndstooth for the Slink MID foot, and Saddle jane flats, which are also in Houndstooth, for the Slink flat foot AND system feet! While the shoes themselves are not exclusive to this event, they will never be sold again in this particular colour/pattern! Sax Shepherd designs are also offering 2 add-on items to these shoes in their store for this event: a Lovely waist cincher, and bow mules in the same Houndstooth design. These are on special offer for one day only, and will go up to full price after!

and finally, SYS has 2 pairs of heels out that work with not only Slink high feet, but also the Belleza body's high feet! These heels come in 2 fun colour combos: Black/red (Left) and Gold/straw (Right)

Style Card:

Skin: Lumae - Nima - Bare
Nails: Alaskametro - Metallic nails - Neutrals/Silver
Feet: Slink - Avatar Enhance feet - High/Mid/Flat

Hey guys! So, last Friday (the 7th!) was MY (RL) BIRTHDAY! Even Google wished me a happy birthday! Seriously, how adorable is that? I meant to get this post up sooner, but my computer thought that a critical hard drive failure was the PERFECT present!
I'm celebrating this occasion by getting myself a couple of things in SL that I've had my eye on, and COINCIDENTALLY, my birthday is on a FRIDAY, which means FLF goodies too!

I can never pass up Glam affair when they decided to do FLF, and this week was absolutely no different! For this round of FLF, Glam affair has a set of 2 skins out in multiple brow options, one skin is in the pearl tone and the other is in the asia tone. I was super excited about this combo because I own the whole set of appliers for both of those tones! *little squee!*

Next, I flopped on over to Fri.day and scooped up these oh-so-darling ankle boots. These are perfect for the autumn weather and the rapidly approaching winter! (and yes, I am floppy today, I'm sleeeeeeepy!)

and ending my FLF trip, I headed over to Junbug to grab their ballet slippers. I love the vintage red pair!

The first thing on my "HNNNNNG" list ( that's like a wishlist, but with more grabby hands, and drool on the keyboard) is the absolutely fan-freaking-tastic hair from Remarkable Oblivion at the Sad November fair. I could not go another day without the Hellcat red version of their Aviator Ace hat/Hair combo! I'm wearing it with black hair, but it also comes with blonde, red, brunette, white, and a great red.

The next thing, which managed to jump onto my list just today, took up pretty much all of my saved up birthday money, but I think it was definitely worth it... Today The Sugar Garden released a brand spanking new mesh head called Mizu (which is the Japanese word for water, in case you were wondering!). each of the normal head colours are $L3K, BUT, the Vampy skin tone (which I happen to LOVE!) is half price! I absolutely could not pass up the cutest mesh head I've seen to date for that price. The Mizu head comes with 15 facial expressions, 16 makeups (I'm wearing gogo), and multiple hair base/eyebrow colour options. I may seriously never take this off!

and finally, while I was at the sad November event grabbing the swoon-worthy Aviator Ace hat, I stopped over at Razor's booth and grabbed myself a copy of their Vacancy hoodie jacket. I've had my eye on it since it came out, and I thought what better time to grab it than right now?! The jacket is HUD texture change and the HUD has quite a few options, the package also includes both female AND male sizes, so if you like to gender swap like I do, then this will be great for you!
